Connect Groups
God never intended that we should live life alone as an 'island'. He wants everybody to thrive and mature in the company of others.
Connect Groups are the heartbeat of church life here at Camden Uniting Church. They provide a relaxed atmosphere to socialize, make friends and grow in faith.
The closer, friendlier environment of a small group helps every person to really live the Christian life, not simply acquire head knowledge. Everyone is valued and recognised for the giftings God has given them. A Connect Group is a group of people who genuinely care. Life takes on new meaning. Everyone can make a contribution, as we minister to one another. This is how we care for one another.
Most groups meet weekly. As well as providing an enjoyable and healthy place to meet, our Connect Groups aim to 'multiply' - that is, to create new groups as more people become involved. Members of our groups are encouraged to attend Sunday church services for worship.

Bible Study and Social Options
As well as "Growth Groups" (Bible studies), we also offer "Life Groups". Life Groups have a social emphasis and include playing sports (we have a cricket club and golf club), learning new skills and sharing hobbies. Like Growth Groups, Life Groups provide the opportunity to "do life together" in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Short Course Studies
Camden Uniting Church runs Short Courses several times a year. We normally run these in Connect Group meetings. We encourage both church members and non-church people to attend.
Last year we offered the popular "40 Days of Purpose" and "40 Days of Community" courses by Rick Warren.
In 2010 our courses include "One Month To Live" - all about living successfully through setting better priorities, the "40 Days of Love" relationships course by Rick Warren, and "Search For Life" and "Valiant Man" by Lifekeys Careforce.
Our aim is to build people up, help them overcome life's challenges, and provide relationship and leadership insights that will "make life work".
