Concert of Hope.

The Watoto Children’s Choir’s have toured internationally since 1994. These choirs bring a message of hope to many parts of the world which include countries such as Uganda, Australia, Canada, UK, USA, South Africa, Brazil, Israel, Germany and France. The choir is made up of children who are part of Watoto’s program.

Accompanied by adult choir leaders from KPC, Watoto’s performances are a soulful blend of African rhythm, contemporary gospel and ethnic dance. Through their music the choir share their unique stories and express their new found hope. The children’s energy and sincerity continue to inspire audiences all around the world.

‘Concerts of Hope’ are a lively demonstration of the life changing love of God experienced by the children of Watoto.
This experience, gives the children exposure to other cultures broadening their world view. It gives the children confidence and boldness and helps them to rise up out of their own situations of sadness and despair.

Audiences are informed of the plight of Africa's needy children and given an opportunity to support the vital work of Watoto in Uganda.

For more information about Watoto or how you can be involved, see their website.

Some of Our Strategies
  • Music tuition (individuals, groups) with a view to extending this to tuition in other creative art forms.
  • Facilities and services hire – promoting and managing bookings for the hire of musical facilities and services, for concerts, higher school certificate exams, AMEB exams etc.
  • Master classes in performing arts, seminars for students, seminars for teachers.
  • Concerts and other performing arts events e.g. community Christmas carols celebrations etc.
  • Student Recitals: To work closely with music teachers in the region to provide a point of co-ordination for concerts they may wish to stage for their own students, and also for concerts which may be representative of a number of local music teaching studios.
  • To host concerts given by musicians of a professional standard, thus giving local people the opportunity to hear high quality performances in the local area. AGAPE is fortunate to have the use of a Steinway grand piano which is on loan to Camden Uniting Church by courtesy of the Harrington Park Foundation and Lady Mary Fairfax.
  • To give to the community by :
    - Gift of Music concert presented by Amazing Grace Singers and local artists – all proceeds donated to a charity.
    - Involvement in local community activities e.g. providing music for Australia Day celebrations.
